Zeeis video analysis solution helped Foxconn to build robotic production lines

March 24, 2013 – Foxconn Technology Group, one of the World’s Fortune 500 and the world’s largest electronic equipment manufacturer, has developed a cooperation with Zeeis Technology. Foxconn will utilize the Zeeis’s video analysis platform to establish precise measurement systems for the automated robotic production line . After adopting the video analysis platform of Zeeis, the complex computing, which traditionally can only be operated on a workstation, will be transplanted into the embedded system. As a result, the equipment costs and the maintenance costs will be significantly reduced, at the same time , the function and reliability will be significantly improved.

Since the enterprise labor cost keeps rising sharply, Foxconn Technology Group also feels the pressure. Foxconn has planned to manufacture 3 million robots of different types for the assembly lines to replace the workers. Robots could significantly increase the production efficiency and the percent of pass. The platform offered by Zeeis has become one of the core technologies to create excellent assembly lines, which will support Foxconn to achieve these goals.

Zeeis’s intelligent video analysis platform is designed especially for digital video, imaging and vision application. With extraordinary processing capability, it is able to analyze high definition videos, and process the image content by recognition, analysis or trajectory predict.
